The Little Theatre, which seats 255 patrons, was erected during the Second World War and used for a number of purposes before being converted into a theatre and lecture hall. The enthusiasts who converted the indoor rifle range into a theatre had been performing shows and plays since 1940 as the Army Ordnance Services Canteen in  the CODDON Social Club. The first theatrical production in the newly converted building was "Robinson Crusoe" in January 1954, performed by the Donnington Garrison Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society.

The annual productions are:-

• 2 plays

• 2 musical shows

• A pantomime

In April 1987 the Society became independent of the army, changing its name to The Little Theatre, Donnington, Society. The opening production was "The Sound of Music".  Further improvements were undertaken in 1987-8 to build new enlarged toilet facilities and an extended lounge bar and rehearsal room.
